Becoming an actress was an ambition and so she started learning acting as well train with the Rathmines and at Abbey Theatre at the age of 14 later she was selected by Charles Laughton an actor who signed her as a co-star for the movie Jamaica Inn in 1939.

She also had a passion for singing and so she was seen attempting various shows on television and also released two of her songs in Irish.
